Educational Seminar at University of Science, VNU HCM (7/11/2012)

University of Tsukuba organized the seminar “Study in Japan” on November 7 at the University of Science, VNU HCM.

The seminar was to introduce University of Tsukuba and its relevant programs to undergraduate, graduate students and young lecturers of Biology Faculty of the University of Science.

Dr. Dang Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Dean of Biology Faculty, University of Science opened the seminar with a speech to the students. Then, Ms. Yoko Matsuzawa and Ms. Ngo Thi Doan Phuong, the Promotion Coordinators from Department of Global Activities, University of Tsukuba, introduced the university campus, organization, programs, student life and alumni network and Vietnamese student community in Tsukuba . Dr. Osamu Ohneda, Director of HCMC Office of University of Tsukuba continued the agenda by an introduction about Global 30 Graduate programs and Dual Degree programs in Medical Sciences. Dr. Ohneda also presented the PhD Programs in Human Biology. Besides the degree programs, University of Tsukuba also offer short courses such as Summer School in Japan, Molecular Biology Course in Vietnam. All the programs are offered in English.

Students were also introduced various scholarships such as MEXT scholarship, Tsukuba Scholarship, JASSO scholarship and scholarships from private foundations.

After the presentations, students raised several questions to ask for more information about the programs they were interested in.

The seminar has provided students with helpful information about University of Tsukuba: its programs, admission, financial supports and campus life, which would be useful for their future decision of study.
