The Second Vietnamese Students Exchange Meeting held
(Jul.2, 2012)

The Second Vietnamese students exchange meeting was held at the Kasuga Plaza of University of Tsukuba on July 2. The exchange meeting was composed of presentation, self-introducing, question and answer session and teatime. A total of 59 participants including 39 Vietnamese students took part in the meeting. At the presentation session, firstly Vice President Yutaka Tsujinaka (person in charge of Global Activities) gave a greeting address. Secondly, Professor Kyosuke Nagata (Executive Advisor to the President, Director of the Office of the Advisor to the President) presented a talk about the International Strategy of University of Tsukuba. Subsequently, Professor Osamu Ohneda (Director of the University of Tsukuba Ho Chi Minh City Office) made a presentation on its office and the staff of the office gave an introduction about the Vietnamese Student Network. During the teatime all the Vietnamese students gave a self-introduction. Then three Vietnamese students spoke about their college life in University of Tsukuba. Also one Vietnamese student from Tokyo Medical and Dental University made a presentation about Medical Biology group organized by Vietnamese students in Japan and its activities. At the question and answer session there was a lively discussion between students and end professors.

Differently from the previous Meeting held a year ago, this time there were participants from other universities; one was a student from Tokyo Medical and Dental University who made a presentation and the other - director of study abroad division of University of Da Nang, Vietnam. This says that the Meeting provided us an opportunity to develop the larger-scale network centered on University of Tsukuba.

Vietnamese students exchange meeting is planned to be held regularly hosted by the University of Tsukuba Ho Chi Minh City Office in cooperation with Vietnamese students.
